We’d set out to explore the flowering heather (August) and we were not disappointed. Furthermore we were surprised that this route – very close to our home, but never visited before , was so varied. The pictures do not do justice to the colours of the flowering heather as we visited the area around noon with ‘hard sunlight’. A visit during the Golden Hour for photographers will definitely be even more rewarding! Enjoyed the walk and the scenery anyway. However, if you’re looking for a quiet place however you will be disappointed as this area is in the outskirts of the city of Hilversum and many dogs and their masters need their daily exercise.
