August 13, 2006, Route 39, Planken Wambuis route, 8 km. Easy walk through a varying landscape of open forest, forest with a lot of undergrowth (under development, to provide shelter for approximately 150 deer) and nice moor. Close to Ede (close to the exit Oosterbeek on the A12). Sandy trail, well marked (just follow the yellow dots) and although it’s a very touristic area, once you’re away from the parking there’s not to many people around, only ‘wild’ horses who do much of the maintenance.
