Wednesday, 22 September 2010, 8.4 km in Gasselte; Drouwenerzand and Horstmanbos (purple route Drouwenerzand 5 km incl.). Build this route to execute my morning jogging run around the purple route Drouwenerzand. The ‘Het Drentse Landschap ‘ foundation is doing its upmost to bring back this areas into its historic, ‘wild’ character with active, dynamic sand dunes by chopping a lot a trees in this 200 h acre nature area. Pictures were taken just after sunrise, but the area is worth a visit anytime!
