Introducing Amateur (HAM) Radio to the general public; in four different languages… (Dutch, English, French and German)
When active as a radio amateur in public spaces I’m regularly asked to explain what I’m doing and why.
As it is not always convenient to interrupt the wireless radio conversation I’m in I carry -and provide an explanation to the visitors and interested by-passers. Obviously I’m always willing to get into more detail once the radio conversation (i.e QSO) has finished.
Might be handy for fellow radio amateurs to carry these or similar explanations as well. To promote our great, interesting and increasingly useful hobby. Feel free to use or replicate these. Obviously comments or suggestions for improvement are always welcome!
