Sunday 8 November 2009, route 47, Groenekanseroute 13,6 km, (not 12 km as described in the book) near Groenekan and Maartensdijk, Varied trail… signs do need an update, so take a look at our map. Hike is just north of Utrecht and close to the Highway to Hilversum (A27). Depending on the wind direction this shouldn’t be too much of an annoyance … However, on a sunny Sunday autumn afternoon you’ll share your trail with many bikers and joggers. If you’re in the mood for this; the route provides you with a relaxing, easy trail… passing the part of the Dutch ‘ Waterlinie’ fortifications, park Beukenburg. Huis Voordaan, Fortress Voordorp etc.
