Thursday 12 March 2026, spring hike 12km in the south of the Province Limburg, close to the Belgium and Germany borders. Extremely interesting hike, descending to the Geuldal and ascending on the edges of the Vijlenerbos forest and along the Wine fields back to where we started. Great views, varied flora and fauna, watermill Volmolen (Epen). Total climbs and descends 300m, not bad for a hike in the flat Netherlands. The trail along the river Geul is a highlight of the route but obviously it can be very muddy.
