Varied walk through the countryside east of Utrecht; agricultural landscape passing castle Walenburg and the grounds of castle Sandeburg. The route can be extended with an additional 4 km. (red route) history). Part of the walk is along tarmac roads, some busier than others; depending on the day and time. On or following rainy days part of the off road route can be muddy so waterproof hiking boots or ‘Wellies’ recommended. The path is well maintained and signposted.
